Partners for Youth with Disabilities (PYD)

Leading accessible online learning

At Partners for Youth with Disabilities (PYD), Nick led work at the intersection of online learning, disability inclusion, and educational technology. He helped shape digital learning experiences that support participation, belonging, and opportunity for youth and professionals with disabilities.

This work combined strategic leadership with hands-on development: clarifying learning goals, designing inclusive instructional experiences, developing digital courses, and using technology to make learning more accessible and effective.

What the work involved

  • Instructional design: Turning complex goals into clear, engaging, and learner-centered experiences.
  • Accessible learning: Designing with accessibility and disability inclusion as essential foundations, not afterthoughts.
  • Digital course development: Creating online courses, learning assets, and experiences that work across formats and learner needs.
  • Educational technology: Selecting and applying tools that improve access, engagement, delivery, and learning outcomes.
  • Innovation: Testing new approaches to online learning and building systems that can adapt to changing needs.

From strategy to measurable impact

At PYD, Nick’s leadership connected vision to implementation. The result was a more intentional approach to digital learning: accessible by design, grounded in real learner needs, and focused on outcomes that could be observed, evaluated, and improved.

The work demonstrates how thoughtful instructional design, inclusive practice, and purposeful technology can expand participation and create stronger learning pathways.

Building new models for learning

Beyond PYD, Nick has co-founded online schools in the United States and Singapore, helping shape accessible, rigorous, and future-facing learning environments.

A creative and practical approach

Every engagement combines research, storytelling, experimentation, and disciplined execution — with a focus on outcomes that are useful, inclusive, and built to last.
